I'm really sorry.

Life has been so crazy, and new lately that I've totally disconnected from our connection blog!

No more! I'm coming back! It was really nice to read Emily and Leah's posts : ) I think we should have a reunion soon. It's been too long since we've all been together!

I'm going to do a Haltmeier Internet Philosophy life update because it's really late, and I have to be up soon. I'm old. : ) More tomorrow when I'm awake hehe!

  • Back in Princeton, full-time/live-in nanny/au pair/random chores and cleaning for a lovely, busy, demanding family. Also doing some light cleaning, and organizing for eccentric rich people in the neighborhood on the side to make some extra money. Not loving it. I've learned a lot, and I'm glad for the experience...but I'm ready to move on.
  • Family life is still a mess, as usual. Things seem like they're calming down a little...it may be the calm before the storm. I feel like I'm always waiting for the other shoe to drop with them. So we'll see : )
  • Therapy has completely changed my life. The way I see, and process life is dramatically different than it was a few months ago. I'm much more connected to reality, more aware of myself in social situations, and independently. I'm finding my way!
  • I want to help other people find the peace, and knowledge that I'm beginning to find. I want to go back to school, and get my Masters in Social Work. I need to do some more research, but it is what I want to do. I need to help people. The challenge is going to be figuring out the financial situation. I have an enormous amount of debt from Westminster...how the heck am I going to go back to school? Figuring it all out. : )

Okay, sleep time!

New Recording!

This is the new recording I've been working on with my pal Doug.

It's only the rough demo, but check it out and let me know what you think!

Is there anything the keenan-bolger's cannot do?!

So I had to post this b/c Celia talks about the time an understudy fell off the stage in starcatcher, and we were actually at that performance! Then she said something like, thank god it's not a musical or he would've been on top of the timpani, and it reminded me of the time Christine passed out and fell off the stage at lincoln center almost on top of the timpani...pretty sure she'll never live that one down. Also, I think people should sing in rounds more. I have a video of us singing that ingrid song, the chain, and the 5 yr old I was nannying for used to always steal my phone to listen to it in the car. She only ever wanted to hear that song though. I'd ask her if she wanted me to sing her a song in person instead of her sitting there with my phone to her ear, and she'd say, "shh maybe later, I want to hear this, and you can't sing it alone, you neeeeed them!" And then I'd think to myself, damn straight I do. I vote every 3rd thursday night of every other month we meet at someone's house to sing rounds. Celeste will make us an amazing dinner, I'll bring wine, Leah will be on keys, Eva on tambourine, Lauren on guitar, and the rest of us on I don't know egg shakers? We'll make it work, and it'll be awesome.
